No, but what difference does that make? If you eat meat, you should care even more that those animals were treated humanely before they were killed.
Well then, I assume you do due diligence to make sure that all meat that you eat has been treated humanely first. Vote with your pocketbook or shut up.
"Shut up" about cruelty to animals? We have a long way to go on that issue, whether you're a vegetarian or not. Future generations will be amazed at how cruel we are to the animals we raised for food.
Maybe you are that cruel. I don't eat meat - because I do not want to be a party to that cruelty.
Okay, but what about being a party to smugness and self-congratulation?
